ADDICTION COUNSELING & RECOVERY SUPPORT

A steadier path.
A place to begin.

Christopher Smith, MSW, LAADC

Recovery is personal. I’m developing a private practice that makes space for honest conversations, practical skills, and meaningful next steps around alcohol and drug use.

A few helpful
things to know.

Are you accepting clients yet?

The private practice is in development, and appointments are not yet being scheduled. You can send a general inquiry about future availability. An inquiry does not reserve an appointment or begin a counseling relationship.

Will sessions be online or in person?

I plan to offer both online and in-person addiction counseling. Online appointments would let you connect from an appropriate private setting; in-person appointments would provide a dedicated space to meet. The online platform, geographic eligibility, office location, and availability will be confirmed before scheduling opens. You can ask about either option in a general inquiry.

What will sessions cost? Is insurance accepted?

Fees, session lengths, and payment arrangements have not been set. Insurance participation has not been established. These details will be available before anyone is asked to schedule or pay.

What is the planned scope of this practice?

The planned focus is alcohol and drug counseling, recovery skills, relapse prevention, and family education related to substance use. Mental health psychotherapy, medication prescribing, and medical detoxification are outside the services being presented here.

What should I include in an inquiry?

A brief general question and your preferred way to be contacted are enough. Please keep diagnoses, treatment histories, medical records, and other sensitive information out of ordinary email. A suitable intake process will be provided before clinical information is requested.

05 / FUTURE AVAILABILITY
